In Detroit in 2006 GM presented the E-Flex electric propulsion technology in the Chevrolet Volt Concept. Since then they’ve been releasing communication around the technology, this concept and other concept vehicles (e.g. the Opel Flextreme).

The funniest piece of consumer driven comms that I have seen so far is the following TV ad:

Chevrolet Volt Concept – Dog [00:31]

I am still not sure wether this is real  ;o)

Quentin Tarantino: Hellride*

2 02 2008

Found this on Affenheimtheater. It’s the poster art for Quentin Tarantino’s new production: Hellride. The poster is really cool!

Here is a quick description of the plot from firstshowing.net
“In Hell Ride, two rival biker gangs, the Victors and the Six-Six-Sixers, have been at war for years. On July 4th, 1976 the Six-Six-Sixers kill and burn the Victors’ president’s wife, now 32 years later they’re getting revenge. The Victors are headed up by the gang’s president, Pistolero (Larry Bishop, who played the “asshole on the elbow” guy in Kill Boll Vol. 2), The Gent (Michael Madsen, who played Budd in Kill Bill Vol. 2), and recently added member Comanche (Eric Balfour). The Six-Six-Sixers is lead by Billy Wings (Vinnie Jones), a ruthless biker who uses an air powered crossbow that’s as badass as Anton Chigurh’s cattle stun gun in No Country for Old Men. “

As part of their launch campaign in the UK, FIAT UK have placed their award winning (Car of the Year 2008) FIAT 500 in one of the capsules of the London Eye. The car was placed inside the capsule at 8pm on Jan 21st, so 500 hrs. into the year.

The evening was topped of by a concert of British singer MIKA.

This nicely fits to their overall 500 launch activities and adds another burst to the Fiat 500 story.

SIA: Breathe Me*

Here is a cool video from Australian Singer Sia Furler, that I am currently listening a lot.
The song is called “Breathe Me” and was played first in the TV series “Six Feet Under”. The video is really cool for it uses stop motion with polaroid pictures. I read on Wikipedia, that it is 2,500 polaroids that have been used in the clip. Really cool idea !
